Outback Holidays With A Cheap Car Hire Australia

Australia is one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world, which comes as no surprise since it has a ton of attractions and activities to offer. The best ones can be found in the Outback, though, a desert-like place unlike any other, so book a car hire and prepare yourself for authentic outdoor adventures.

With a car hire in Australia, you can select from several scenic routes that go through the Northern Territory and offer the best of the Australian Outback, the most popular of which is the Red Centre Way. This is because this route goes through the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park where the renowned Ayers Rock or Uluru can be found. The Ayers Rock is a massive sandstone rock which is known to change colors at certain times of the day and is deemed sacred to the Aboriginal people. Because of this, tourists are discouraged from climbing it, though this is still a possibility for those daring enough.

The Red Centre Way also goes through the Watarrka National Park, particularly the King’s Canyon, which provides striking views with its dramatic gorges and sandstone domes, as well as the town of Alice Springs, best-known for its desert lifestyle and Aboriginal art galleries.

The Nature’s Way is also popular, going through the world-famous Kakadu National Park. This park has been named a World Heritage Site because of its diverse natural landscapes, plant life and wildlife, which includes crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies and bandicoots.

This route also passes through two other national parks, namely Nitmiluk and Litchfield. The former is the site of the beautiful Katherine Gorge while the latter has many scenic waterfalls, with Wangi Falls being the most popular.

Feel free to go your own way, though, if you want to make the most of your vacation, which is possible with a car hire. This way, you can pack other sights into your itinerary, like Devils Marbles, Lawn Hill National Park, the MacDonnell Ranges, the Wave Rock and the Esperance Coast.

There are various accommodations available as well. If you want to be comfortable after a hot day in the outdoors, you should book a room in a hotel in Kalgoorlie or Darwin, but for a more unique experience, try staying in a refurbished mine in Coober Pedy, a cattle station in Gascoyne-Murchison or camping in the outdoors.

Indeed, you can choose your own adventures with your own car hire. Just remember to always bring a lot of water with you and to wear sunscreen to avoid dehydration and sunburn, and be aware of the signs along the way and in the parks. No matter where you go, you’re certain to find something exciting to do or something amazing to behold. After all, this is the Australian Outback, where the world comes to ultimately enjoy the wild outdoors.
