Creating Your Own Wine Room

Wine is produced and enjoyed in hundreds of countries all over the world. Not only are more people than ever drinking wine, but there has also been a massive increase in the number of people buying all the newest wine making, serving and consuming products. As personal wine collections grow, many people decide to store them in specialised wine rooms that they often build themselves. It probably seems like a bigger job than it really is, and if you take note of these tips the process will be painless

1.)
Keep it cool. The perfect temperature to maintain your wines at is 10° to 16° C (50° to 61° F).Anything higher than this will lead to a decrease in wine quality but anything higher than 25° C will seriously damage the wine's flavors and body. You should therefore have some way of regulating the room temperature or alternatively purchase a wine fridge. Additionally you will need to keep the moisture levels down so a dehumidifier could be another worthwhile purchase.

2.) Glassware and tableware. Most people still use their kitchen to store their wine drinking utensils, despite having a room completely dedicated to their wine. Having some glasses and a bottle opener etc in the room will save you lots of time you would have spent running back and forth to the kitchen.

3.) Organise. Poor organisation is the downfall of many an amateur wine room creator. You can save yourself a lot of time and effort just by placing the wine in order of their type and date, and once you fine a routine it's pretty easy to stick to it. You might want to invest in a good wooden wine cabinet also to display your wines in all their glory
